EMBRACING THE LOCAL
Local Mallorquin architect and developer have joined forces to build two unique contemporary homes that are quintessentially stylish, fulfil modern day needs, and at the same time include detail that has an integral relationship to the island reflecting typical characteristics and traditional elements of Mallorquin lifestyle. The design has been carefully considered for the Mediterranean climate, providing rooms that are spacious and light for a family to grow with all the benefits of Palma at your doorstep to enjoy year-round living.
Local Mallorquin architect, Ester Morro, shares a philosophy with developer, Nest Homes, to build stylish residences that communicate a uniquely Mallorquin character. The design brings together many island elements with quality natural materials. The interiors enhance the feeling of space and light in all the rooms where there is an interplay of vertical and horizontal shapes reflected in the interior wood detailing. The handcrafted floor tiles by island artisans, Huguet who have also produced the distinctive stone-carved basins in the bathrooms, underline the local detail. The result is not just a spectacular new villa, but a real home, a Nest Home.

Villa Mare
The spectacular fa ade in natural Mares stone features floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors covered by exterior sliding persiana shutters to adjust light and shade according to the time of day and the changing seasons. This seamless look continues to the vertical carved, slatted stone that skillfully hides the garage and brings in natural light, and this detailing is also used along the large basement floor.

Distribution is on three floors: the large basement has multiple uses; an extra bedroom, gym, and storage. This leads to the master bedroom on an intermediate level with its own interior glazed patio and access to the pool, sunbathing, and garden area. Three bedrooms and bathrooms are located on the first floor, the salon, dining, and kitchen are located on the second floor where large sliding windows open up onto an exterior terrace. As this floor is also at street level, there is access to the garage from the back of the house. The rooftop level provides a vast terrace area for entertaining and enjoying the views over the city and the Bay of Palma.

The Villas
VILLA Coelum
Although the facade is similar in look to its neighbouring villa its square shape denotes a completely different interior layout: the basement area is filled with plenty of natural light that offers multiple usage possibilities for an extra bedroom or health and fitness area with access to the pool, sun terrace and planted garden areas where there is ample space for informal dining/seating area.

All four bedrooms are located on the first floor, and each has access to the outside terrace with views across the pool and the green planted areas. On the second floor, a spacious salon/living room with kitchen and dining area opens out onto a large exterior terrace that runs the length of the facade. Stairs lead up to the generous rooftop terrace where an outdoor kitchen can be easily installed and there is plenty of room for an outdoor seating area to relax and take in the far-reaching views to the Bay of Palma and the city across to the Marivent Palace.
